Buying Mexican pesos in Miami for your trip to Mexico
Whether it's Cancún, Tulum, Mexico City, Guadalajara or a visit home, pesos make everyday spending in Mexico simpler. Street food, markets, taxis, tips and small shops usually run on cash, and in tourist areas the places that take dollars apply their own exchange rate at the register. Paying in pesos lets you see exactly what you're spending.
Lock the rate before you go
Enter the amount of pesos in the quoter and you see today's rate and the total in dollars. When you place the order, that rate is held for 24 hours, so a move in the market before pickup doesn't change your total. Online orders start at $300, with a $5 processing fee shown before you confirm, and you can pay by ACH bank transfer or in cash at the store.
Pickup or delivery
Collect your pesos for free at Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami, close to PortMiami, from 9 AM to 7 PM, or at Coral Ridge Mall in Fort Lauderdale, from 11 AM to 7 PM. Bring your photo ID; we count the cash in front of you and give you a receipt. FedEx delivery to Florida addresses is $24 for 2-Day or $29 for Overnight. Sailing to Cozumel or Costa Maya? Read about exchanging money before a cruise.
If pesos are out of stock
Stock is subject to availability. When an amount can't come from inventory, we order it for you: special orders take 3 business days, have a $500 minimum and a $10 fee, and if you'll pay cash at pickup they need a $100 deposit by Zelle or ACH within 24 hours. Orders placed after 5 PM Eastern Time start the next business day.
Selling pesos back
Came home with pesos? Both stores buy them for US dollars in cash, counted in front of you. Check the peso buy rate before you come, compare it on the USD to MXN page, or see how selling foreign currency works.
